St. Andrew's Hospital, Clay Street, Suffolk, VA

St. Andrew's Hospital, north west side of Clay Street, Suffolk, Virginia was a Private Hospital which I know was there in 1913 according to several news stories.  My sister, Dolly Bell Watson, later Carr, was born here in 1931. I wonder if it is still there?

  1. I live three doors up the street toward Washington, and the hospital lot has been a parking lot paved in asphalt since I purchased my house in 2008, and I believe it has been that way for some time before that. I think the hospital was turned into apartments years before it was torn down.

  2. I grew up three blocks from it on Chestnut street during the 1960s, early 70s till we later moved to Brewer ave in 74. If memory serves me I recall that it burned
in or around 1966. I think the remainder was made into a parking lot.
